I love my kids. I don’t hover over them. I let them roam free. When it comes to trying things out, they can jump in and get muddy. But there is one area where I draw the line: Keeping my family safe.

And this season, I have bugs on my radar.

No, I don’t have a bug-allergy and I’m not generally anti-bug. I just don’t want the creepies crawling all over me or my family. My son jumps ten feet when he sees a spider, it’s the crazy legs and twelve zillion eyes that get to him. My daughter loves animals, but insects that like to bite. Not a fan.

Enter: dad.

My family likes to call me House Ninja, but the bugs know me as the Bug Master. Like any man, I feel like I can take on the world when I have the right tools.
