Sam Pointon really likes trains. So when he found out that Britain’s National Railway Museum needed a new directer, Pointon did what any other supremely focused and insanely driven 6-year-old would do: he wrote a cover letter.
Pointon didn’t get the job, but, instead, the National Railway Museum named him its “Director of Fun.” Yes, that’s the same “Director of Fun” position that every human being on this planet secretly yearns for. Congrats, Sam. You beat us all.
“It is the best job in the world,” said Pointon. “I love it. It is good fun. My favourite is the steam engine, I like it when the wheels go round.”
OK, now he’s just rubbing it in.
