Tiffany Noth is a blogger, a mom and the original Bloggy Mom. Her blogging empire began in 1996 and is growing daily. She started the Bloggy Moms Conference in 2011. I think she’s magnificent and you should too. Don’t take my word for it, check her out for yourself.
As always, if these questions seem completely random it’s because they are.
Is it just me or does “Bloggy Mom” sound better than “Bloggy Dad?” I mean, with the exception of a couple dads like Jason Avant and Kyle Bradford, Bloggy Moms look better than Bloggy Dads.
We actually have a group for Bloggy Dads on Bloggy Moms, there may only be three members to that group! But yes, I think Bloggy Mom sounds better than Bloggy Dads.
You teach moms (and dads) how to be better bloggers, but who taught you? How did you learn the mad blogging skillz that you have today?
I guess I taught myself. I’ve been a part of blogging before that word even existed. I wrote my thoughts {most of them snarky} on websites and online journals since 1996. I don’t know any other way honestly.
Mad blogging skills? I’m not sure I would call it that. I just do as I see fit. There is definitely more to blogging than when it first began. Stats, followers, etc… I never looked at a stat until 2010. Other than when I’m asked for that information, I don’t look at it.
I just write. I try to create community and networking solutions that benefit others.
When hosting a Twitter party, who brings the refreshments? Is there a dress code?
The dress code is pajama pants! Well, that is typically what I’ll be in during a Twitter party {as most I attend are in the evening}. Refreshments? Who’s bringing refreshments? I’ve been left out of that segment of the party!
One [or two] pieces of advice bloggers need?
Yes! Stay away from the drama! It does nothing to benefit you when you participate. I get snarky from time to time – and usually regret it.
What’s the deal with the Blog Dare?
The Blog Dare is a daily prompt offered by {me} Bloggy Moms. I try to give prompts that helps people develop their writing skills instead of wishing they blogged like someone else. I try offering prompts that helps us to know more about the author. When you offer yourself up in a blog post – you’re offering what no one else can.
Can you please explain the fascination with Pinterest? As a guy I just don’t get it. Is it something I should be doing?
Umm yes. Okay, no. Pinterest actually pains me. It’s fun to look at and browse and click on pretty things. I too often become irritated that many things I pin don’t have an easier way of providing me the information I need from the picture. Where exactly can I find out how to turn my left over toilet roll into a brand new coffee table? I don’t know! Where is the link to the blog post!?
How cool is it to see your book for sale on Kindle and Nook?
[only $4.99 and probably makes a great Mothers Day gift]
I feel like I’m look at the aftermath of a storm. Everything in my current/first book was a lot of hurt and lessons that I had been carrying around. In about three weeks I compiled all the information and thoughts I could from my hard times and put it out for everyone to see.
Sometimes I can’t believe I actually put out there some of the hurt I’ve experienced…
Since I’m both mom and dad can I be an honorary Bloggy Mom?
You certainly can!
Last week my Rad Dad, Father Muskrat, told everyone he thought the Academy screwed over Clark Gable in 1939. He has inspired me to add a bonus Academy Award related question to all my Magnificent Moms and Rad Dads. The question is semi-optional.
Who has been your favorite Academy Awards host?
If Thomas the Train or Elmo isn’t on it, I haven’t watched it. Oh, wait… does Martha the Talking Dog host? I love her!

I feel so behind the times. Had never heard of the Bloggy Mom Conference. 🙁
But, off topic — you *do* seem to be quite the Rad Dad. 🙂
Thanks Andi. I really appreciate that.
LOVE this Mama! Can’t wait to catch up with her again at Bloggy Conference – color me happy…
And as for skillz, she has both beauty and brains!
