Welcome to the paintball world! In this article, we try to figure out some mistakes that beginner paintball players do. By practicing those tips beginner players can do well in the field.
Here is a little guide to avoid some mistakes to succeed your session!
Bad position
The first mistake is to think about protecting yourself instead of being a danger to the opposing team. In general, beginners will immediately seek the bush thickest or the deepest hole to hide and wait. Error! This is not the best technique adopted.
Indeed, they see nothing, are unable to communicate with their teams or help with cover shots. But they think they are in a good ambush position.
However, in general, the outcome of this strategy is to finish full of paintballs. Because if an opponent notices you, he will tend to warn members of his team and you are stuck with your bush.
Even before the paintball game starts, start looking for shelter. A good shelter is one that allows you to be sufficiently covered while leaving you the freedom to see and shoot at you. The idea is not to be seen, but to see others!
Look well
Generally, if you see your opponent first, you have won.
Beginners think that if they take out their heads they will become an easy target and therefore never look around.
Do not be afraid to watch! You need as much information as you can about paintball.
Of course, your head will be a target, so look at the sides of your barricade rather than over it. Do not look too long; 1 – 2 seconds max. This is the time your opponent needs to find you, aim you, shoot and see the ball of paintball arrive at your destination: Your head.
Movement
If you’re not helpful where you are, why stay there?
Besides, staying behind to protect your base is often a mistake. If the rest of your team gets through, they would have done better with you. And then there is no more opponent, you protect what suddenly?
If the rest of your team was totally rustling, then the result could have been different. In addition, when the opponents will arrive at your base, then this is the greatest moment of loneliness. Good luck my poor!
So get moving!
When you are spotted (if you shoot someone), be prepared to move so that your opponent does not know where you are or where your next shot will come from.
In addition, this one is a beginner, once the opponent will have detected you; he will be focused on you. His target will only you, he will become deaf and blind to everything else. And often he will not even imagine that you can change position. Take the opportunity to shoot him one of your pretty marbles!
Communication Gap
Beginners usually speak very little. Unless they are drunk (alcohol abuse is obviously not recommended during a game of Paintball) or in the “dead zone”.
Beginners do not tell their problems (even those of the female sex!) And do not dare to share their knowledge (as the position of an opponent spotted).
The only good reason to be quiet is to stay in ninja mode. But once you are spotted do not hesitate to scream and make noise! You will receive help from your teammates and especially give them information.
Small exception: Be careful if you nag your opponents unless you want to see a ball of paintball very (very)!
They shoot too much or not
Generally, beginners are very precise and rarely miss a player two meters from them, especially if it is on the same team (I warned you, they do not look).
They imagine that the thrower is a weapon and tries to shoot a target at 100 meters. They shoot too early and on anything that moves. Giving their positions. (Big mistake)
The opponent who awaits him at the right moment to shoot knows where he is going to find them (remember, they do not move) and can pick them like flowers.
If you have not been spotted, your first shot must hit your opponent.
Wait until the path is clear or your opponent has found you. Be patient, especially if you defend.
Conversely, some confuse paintball balls and gold nuggets. So they think a ball that has not hit its target is lost.
Do not rely on them to cover you and intimidate opponents.
Yet in many cases, this is very useful; to help an ally in a difficult situation, to make nervous an opponent who hides behind his tree, to force him to stay upside down while your teammate approaches
Some teams even share the price of paintballs knowing that their players in front, using fewer balls, can play well only if they have the support behind them who spend without counting. Well, we’re talking about experts.
In conclusion
Beginners make these mistakes because they are frightened by the paintballs. Remember, paintball is a sport, a passion. This is not war and there is no death. There will always be another part!
Feel dangerous too. You have a launcher, balls, and gas; you are the dangerous show it! Try new moves, go for the plume too. Basically, have fun. Do you paintball for that?
