Poem: So Fast

So fast, so fast

an eye’s quick blink

had always heard

but didn’t think

it possible for all to go

so fast

more fast

than I could know

I wish I’d stopped

to linger more

to take it in

and feel the core

of that which mattered

most to me

I didn’t see

I didn’t see

that folks would age

and babes would grow

friends would travel

to and fro

The times I loved

fleeting they were

too many now

become a blur

and as I contemplate the past

I wish it hadn’t

gone so fast

and that today would better last

Awesome poem Rick, thanks for sharing. It’s something I think everyone can relate to. The older I get, the faster time seems to fly by.
