Josh Treuhaft hosts dinner parties that hope to change our perceptions around the food we waste.
—
As a graduate of the first MFA in Design for Social Innovation, Josh got a chance to work on and develop his food waste project, Eat Everything! As part of the project, Josh hosts fancy dinner parties using food remains from restaurants and individuals that would have otherwise get thrown away. Guests get to learn about the food they are eating, and inevitably start to question their commonly held beliefs around which food is edible and which isn’t.
Check out the interview to hear how he started the project, how handles overcoming people’s “ick” factor, and what he has planned for the future.

I ate very well from dumpsters in theU.S.A. for many years. One place I regularly got fresh wild salmon, shitake mushrooms, and fresh soba noodles. All perfectly eatable and clean right from the dumpster.
The U.S.A. does waste too much food.
Thanks for this Alex!
