Countless shepherds and their wards will have rejoiced in its protective shade.

Whilst upon the ancient fissured bark lovers have made their own trysts of undying love.

These fading and stretched characters a faint reminder of long forgotten lovers.

Here upon the mountain the old ways are strong, passed down the generations from the scions of these starstruck souls of yore.

Once more the words of Larkin resound from oak and boulder; truly what remains of us is love.
