It’s entirely likely and highly probable that every single person you’ve encountered was either struggling with some form of obstacle, blockage, restriction, or limitation that they’ve been wishing to overcome. Perhaps something they’ve been wrestling with that’s caused unpleasant, conflicted, and difficult emotions within them to arise. Whether these particular battles have been raging internally and being contended with behind closed doors, or if they’re being wrangled with externally because of outside, circumstantial sources and situations, is of very little importance.
What is of profound importance, with respect to this article, is aquiring an understanding of how being kind and thereby implementing acts of kindness into your daily life really goes a long way. This not only positively impacts your own life but extremely impacts someone else’s life.
Why be kind?
Practicing kindness actually improves your mood, enhances self-esteem, and greatly enhances your overall mental wellbeing and emotional health.
An expression of kindness in its truest form can tap into the root of who we genuinely are at our core and by choosing to be kind it strengthens our ability to stand even more firmly in your authenticity.
Let’s be real. Kindness is contagious and when you sprinkle that shit around it wondrously begins producing a sort of “ripple effect” that then disperses itself into the world and motivates and inspires others to be kind, too.
Kindness creates solid foundations and longevity in human relations. This really should come as no surprise since the act of being kind helps others feel connected, cared for, valued, and loved.
Never underestimate the power in what may seem to you as just a small act of kindness. Kindness has the power to positively impact another person’s life. Kindness quite literally has the capacity to completely turn around someone else’s day, and on a larger scale, it can even help initiate a much needed new beginning or turning point in someone’s life.
Again, none of us truly know what hidden battles other people are engaging with on a daily basis, nor do we know what inner turmoil they are masking. Maybe some person you’ve recently encountered used every reserve of inner strength they’ve got to simply wake up and rise out of bed this morning. Maybe they’ve just taken what was a huge chance in deciding to walk outside today for the first time in a very long time.
So be kind, compassionate, and have the heart to encourage, motivate, and inspire others. And please do remember to fill up your own cup by practicing kindness with yourself too.
Look at each day as a new opportunity to look at yourself in the mirror, love the person you see reflecting back at you, and then let that inner confidence radiate into everything else you do. This is how practicing the art of kindness can be a life-changing superpower.
