The Wacky Comedy ‘Little Monsters’ is Coming to Blu-Ray
Ever since I was a kid, I have loved watching comedy movies. When done well, they have me laughing until it hurts. Over the years my tastes in comedies have changed, but I still enjoy watching them. When I heard Little Monsters was coming to Blu-Ray I hoped I would get to watch it. I was able to get a review copy of this film and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Little Monsters here:
Brian (Fred Savage) is a sixth-grader who’s recently moved to a new town and made friends with Maurice (Howie Mandel) — the monster who lives under Brian’s bed! Maurice introduces Brian to the world of monsters, where junk food rules, adults aren’t allowed, and the fun and games never end. But when Brian’s brother is kidnapped, it’s time for Brian to get serious and fight the monsters on their turf in this zany cult favorite.
This was an alright comedy, but I can’t say it blew me away. It has some good moments, and they did a good job bringing this magical world to life. This film has some weak moments, and it takes a while for it to really get interesting. The ending wasn’t that strong, and kind of did a poor job bringing this story to a close. Some people may enjoy this movie, but it won’t be for everyone.
Little Monsters is available now on Blu-Ray and Digital.
