Prepare for a crazy adventure in ‘Sponge on the Run’
SpongeBob SquarePants is a very popular character. The TV show has been on for a good amount of time, and there is all kinds of memorabilia based on this series. The last movie did quite well, so it wasn’t a huge surprise when a sequel was announced. I was able to get a screener for Sponge on the Run and here is what I thought of it

SpongeBob SquarePants, his best friend Patrick, and the Bikini Bottom gang star in their most epic adventure movie yet! When SpongeBob’s beloved pet snail Gary goes missing, a path of clues leads SpongeBob and Patrick to the powerful King Poseidon, who has Gary held captive in the Lost City of Atlantic City. On their mission to save Gary, SpongeBob and his pals team up for a heroic and hilarious journey where they discover nothing is stronger than the power of friendship.

This was overall a fun film to watch. It had its share of wacky moments, but these rarely harmed the plot much. If anything, these moments brought some good laughs and lightened the mood after a serious scene. The story was pretty good, and learning how these characters first met was kind of fun. As this story comes to a close, Bikini Bottom will never be the same.
