Something strange is going on in ‘Penance’
Last time on Star Trek: Picard, we got to see how things were going for this legendary Starfleet officer. Things at the vineyard looked to be going quite well and Picard appeared to be happy for the first time in years. We also got to see the positive steps much of his new crew were making in their lives. Yet after contact with an old adversary, Picard got a visit from an old friend. Now Picard finds himself in an alternate reality on ‘Penance’. I was able to watch this episode and here is what I thought of it.

You can read the premise for ‘Penance’ here:
Picard finds himself transported to an alternate timeline in the year 2400 where his longtime nemesis, Q, has orchestrated one final “trial.” Picard searches for his trusted crew as he attempts to find the cause of this dystopian future.

It looks Q has transported Picard to an alternate timeline at the start of this episode. Q gives Picard some insight into this world he now resides in, and things don’t sound good. It looks like this Picard has done a lot of terrible things. Picard and his new crew need to come together to figure out what is going on and a way to change things. The way they stumble upon is risky but it just might work. As this episode comes to a close things aren’t looking good for this crew.
