An action packed adventure begins in ‘Children of the Phoenix’ Vol 1
Since I was a teenager, I have loved science fiction. When done right, they can be a lot of fun and tell some amazing stories. When I heard about Children of the Phoenix Vol 1 I was hoping I would get a chance to read it. I was able to get a digital copy of this graphic novel and here is what I thought of it.

When Elias and Alice’s mother disappears in a nearby forest, the siblings quickly embark on a journey to find her. But nothing can prepare them for what lies ahead–not when they come face-to-face with a crew of aliens who whisk them away to a spaceship where they meet terrifying creatures, dangerous attackers, and a secret that changes all Alice and Elias have ever known about their family.
Amid the mayhem, will Elias and Alice be able to traverse through the stars and find their mother?
I had a hard time putting this graphic novel down. This tale starts simple enough with two teens worried about where their mom might be. They decide to head into the woods hoping to find them. Instead a strange looking creature attacks one of them and things only get weirder from there. Alice wakes up on a spaceship, and her and Elias learn some surprising truths about their mother. As this graphic novel comes to a close, it is apparent this adventure is far from over.
