‘Madame Web’ is out now in theaters
I am a fan of superhero movies. When they are done right they can take audiences on an action packed adventure. Sadly when they are done incorrectly they can be somewhat painful to watch. When I heard about Madame Web I was unsure if it would be good or not. I was able to attend a screening for this movie and here is my thoughts on it.
You can read the plot for Madame Web here:
In a switch from the typical genre, Madame Web tells the standalone origin story of one of Marvel publishing’s most enigmatic heroines. The suspense-driven thriller stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future… and realizes she can use that insight to change it. Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destinies…if they can all survive a deadly present.
Madame Web gets 5/10. I can’t say I hated this film, but it certainly wasn’t amazing either. It has a good beginning, but starts to lose momentum from there. Although it was nice to see an evil spider person for a change, this one was not as good as it should have been. The ending was okay but doesn’t do the best job bringing this film to a close. Some people might like this movie, but I wouldn’t say it is a must watch.
Madame Web is out in theaters now. You can follow this movie on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
