Children laugh an average of 300 times a day; most adults get less than 10 laughs in. Sure, we have a lot more on our minds and serious things to deal with, but what if something so simple could improve our health as well as our moods?
People under chronic stress need to find ways to interrupt negative coping habits. It’s easy to fall into overeating or poor eating habits, drinking more than normal, and non-restorative rest like excessive television watching or gaming.While many of these things might seem to offer a little relief initially, they don’t do anything to truly help us cope with stress.
Something as simple as a funny video or talking with a friend who makes you laugh can help you bounce back in times of stress, and has a host of other health benefits as well.
