The bridge crew prepares for a big mission in ‘Trusted Sources’
Last time on Star Trek: Lower Decks, Boimler tried to take his friends on an adventure. He had made a holo film that was going to be fun and exciting. Tendi and Rutherford couldn’t wait for it to begin but Mariner wasn’t thrilled about it. Just when it was about to begin Boimler got some news from one of the officers. About halfway through the story Boimler decided to go in a different direction. Mariner followed him but soon got angry and left him alone. When she came back Boimler told her the news he got, and it took her by surprise. Meanwhile Tendi admitted something that she had never told anyone before. As this episode came to a close Boimler learned an important lesson. Now the bridge crew prepares for a mission in ‘Trusted Sources’. I was able to watch this episode and here is my thoughts on it.

A visiting reporter on the Cerritos puts Captain Freeman on edge.

An Admiral gives the bridge crew an important mission at the start of this episode. Instead of Captain Freeman being excited she is nervous because a reporter is coming to do an expose on the whole thing. She wants the ship looking spotless and cancels activities the Lower Deckers had been excited about for a good while. Captain Freeman also wants Mariner and her friends out of sight so they don’t say something to embarrass her. The mission takes some unexpected turns but overall is a success. When Captain Freeman finds out Mariner talked to the reporter she makes a drastic decision. When the expose comes out Captain Freeman learns she made a terrible mistake. As this episode comes to a close we see Mariner has chosen a new career path.
