Go on a journey with a little girl in ‘If all the World Were’
I have been lucky to read a good amount of children’s books lately. Some take me on amazing adventures, while others offer a bit more. When I heard about If all the World Were I thought it sounded interesting. I was able to read a digital copy and this is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for If all the World Were here:
A moving, poetic picture book about a young girl’s love for her granddad and how she copes when her grandad dies. This powerful and ultimately uplifting text is the ideal way to introduce children to the concept of death and dying, particularly those who have lost a grandparent.
I was pleasantly surprised by If all the World Were. It took a tough occurrence at almost any age put a clever spin on it. Most of this story focuses on the good times, and when someone does pass on their legacy is left in a unique way. The little girl is likable and I think some kids will be able to relate to her in a a few ways. Truly one of the more interesting children’s books I have read in a while.
If all the World Were is available now. You can order this book on Amazon.
