A wonderful tale gets told in ‘Santa Rides the Subways’
It is always a lot of fun reading children’s fiction books. The stories they take readers on can be quite amazing and no two are the same. When I first heard about Santa Rides the Subways I was looking forward to reading it. I was able to get a digital copy of this book and here are my thoughts on it.
You can read the plot for this book here:
It’s Christmas Eve in Brooklyn, New York, and Santa Claus is in trouble. Racing to complete his worldwide journey before Christmas morning, Santa is making his final stop when disaster strikes over Sunset Park.
His sleigh begins to shake violently, forcing him to bring his reindeer down onto the roof of a brownstone below, right above eight-year-old Carmen, who has been watching the whole thing from her window.
When Carmen races up to the roof she finds Santa, his reindeer, and a sleigh that isn’t going anywhere. The presents still need delivering. Christmas is slipping away. And Carmen, a resourceful Brooklyn girl who knows her neighborhood, has an idea that just might work.
Could the New York City subway system help save Christmas?
I had a great time reading this book. It is Christmas Eve and Santa is out delivering gifts when something bad happens. The sleigh crashes and it seems like the holiday might be cancelled. Luckily a girl has an idea, and it could be the thing that keeps this night going. When snags get hit, more people are asked to help, and they are more than happy to do it. Thanks to all the people helping out, the night goes off without a hitch, and it becomes a holiday that these people will never forget. Most people will have a lot of fun reading this book.
Santa Rides the Subways is available now. You can order this book on Amazon and at Barnes and Noble.
