‘No Hard Feelings’ is out now on Blu-Ray
I am a fan of Jennifer Lawrence. She was great in each of the Hunger Games films, and did a wonderful job playing Mystique in X-Men: Days of Future Past. When I heard about No Hard Feelings, I was hoping I might get a chance to check it out. I was able to get a review copy of this comedy and here is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for No Hard Feelings here:
Maddie thinks she’s found the answer to her financial troubles when she discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, and bring him out of his shell before he leaves for college. But awkward Percy proves to be a real challenge, and time is running out. She has one summer to make him a man or lose it all.
This film was kind of a letdown for me. It has a good beginning, but loses steam as the story moves along. The main characters aren’t perfect, but they have some moments where it is hard to like them. While the plot moves forward, the main story somehow gets lost, and near the end shifts focus which didn’t make much sense to me. Also, as far as raunchy comedies go, this one was pretty tame. Some people might enjoy this film, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
