Two Dojos duke it out in ‘Cobra Kai’ seasons 1 and 2
I remember the first time I saw The Karate Kid. It had a great cast, told a touching story and became an instant classic. Now the story continues in Cobra Kai. I was able to get a review copy of the first two seasons of this show and this is my thoughts on it.
You can read the plot for Cobra Kai here:
In the highly-anticipated return of two iconic characters, the arch-rivals from the legendary THE KARATE KID film series reunite over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. Now living in the affluent hills of Encino, Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) leads an enviable life. Meanwhile, his high school adversary, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), has taken a rocky turn, but seeks redemption by reopening the infamous karate dojo. Their lives inevitably become intertwined and the rivalry is reignited, setting forth the next generation of “karate kids.”
I had an absolute blast watching the first two season of this show. It had some amazing action scenes, likable characters and some despicable bad guys. There were moments when it seemed like a main rivalry was put to rest, but it was short lived. As the second season came to a close one dojo closed its doors while another one took a dark turn. If you are a fan of these movies then this is a show you will want to check out.
Cobra Kai seasons 1 and 2 is available now on DVD. You can follow this show on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
