‘The Last Key’ Does a good job ending this series.
I enjoy a good horror movie now and then. Sadly, I rarely see a good one these days. Most of them blend together, and are rarely scary to me. I really liked Insidious 3, so I was excited to check out The Last Key. I was lucky to be able to see it early, and this is what I thought of it.

You can read the plot for The Last Key here:
Brilliant parapsychologist Elise Rainier receives a disturbing phone call from a man who claims that his house is haunted. Even more disturbing is the address — 413 Apple Tree Lane in Five Keys, N.M. — the home where Elise grew up as a child. Accompanied by her two investigative partners, Rainier travels to Five Keys to confront and destroy her greatest fear — the demon that she accidentally set free years earlier.

Insidious: The Last Key gets 7/10. I liked this movie, but it wasn’t perfect. For starters, it was rather predictable. If you saw a dark corner it wasn’t hard to guess something bad was about to happen. I did like learning the past of Elise Rainer and getting a glimpse into her family life. The plot was alright, and did bring a few surprises towards the end. I really hated her partners though, they were annoying and a terrible attempt at comic relief. The film would have so much better without them in it. In the end though I liked Insidious 3 much more than this film. I am sure some people will enjoy it, but I won’t be for everyone.
