‘The Secrets of Dumbledore’ is out now on Blu-Ray
I read all of the Harry Potter books and enjoyed each one. The films were a lot of fun to watch and did a good job bringing the books to life. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them told a new chapter in the Wizarding World story and introduced some amazing creatures. The Crimes of Grindelwald showed just how powerful and dangerous this wizard truly was. When I heard The Secrets of Dumbledore was coming to Blu-Ray I hoped I might get to watch it. I was able to get a review copy of this movie and here is what I thought of it.

Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?
This was an okay film, but not as good as I hoped it might be. The plot goes in a lot of different directions, and they don’t always make sense. Grindewald loses a lot of their charm in this movie and they just don’t appear to be as great as threat as they were in the previous films. The ending was okay and does a alright job bringing this film to a close. ‘The Dumbledore Family Tree’ tells the story of this magical family and the tragedies they faced along the way. ‘The Magic of Hogwarts’ talked about the work put into bringing a number of sets to life in this unique magical school. ‘Even More Fantastic Beasts’ revealed a number of new creatures that made their debut in this movie. There are also a number of deleted scenes.
