‘Ghost in the Shell’ is coming out on 4K Ultra HD
A few years ago I saw the live action Ghost in the Shell film. I wasn’t all that impressed by it. Although it had great special effects, the film itself was slow and boring. When I heard the animated movie was being released on 4K Ultra HD, I jumped at the chance to watch it. I was able to get a review copy of this film and this is my thoughts on it.

You can read the plot for Ghost in the Shell here:
2029: A female cybernetic government agent, Major Motoko Kusanagi, and the Internal Bureau of Investigations are hot on the trail of “The Puppet Master,” a mysterious and threatening computer virus capable of infiltrating human hosts. Together with her fellow agents from Section 9, Kusanagi embarks on a high-tech race against time to capture the omnipresent entity.

I was very impressed by this animated film. The animation itself is truly stunning, and the story had me on the edge of my seat most of the time. The identity of this criminal wasn’t clear, but they posed a serious threat to the entire city. Taking them down would be the toughest assignment Major Motoko Kusanagi has ever been on. As this case comes to a close, this film ends on a rather surprising note. This may not be a film for everyone, but I think most people will enjoy it.
