‘Vivo’ The Sing Along Edition is out now on Blu-Ray
I have watched a good amount of animated movies lately. When they are done right they can be a lot of fun to watch. When I heard about Vivo coming out on Blu-Ray I hoped I might get a chance to watch it. I was able to get a review copy of this film and here is my thoughts on it.
You can read the plot for Vivo here:
Vivo, a one-of-a kind kinkajou, spends his days playing music with his beloved owner Andrés. But when tragedy strikes, it’s up to Vivo to deliver a message that Andrés never could: A love letter to his old partner, the famous Marta Sandoval, in the form of a song.
Yet in order to get to Marta, who lives a world apart, Vivo will need the help of Gabi – an energetic tween who bounces to the beat of her own offbeat drum – to fulfill his owner’s wishes.
Overall I thought this was an alright movie. There are a ton of songs, and they sometimes seem to start randomly. Many of them are good, but a few felt a little out of place to me. The story itself is good and does have a happy ending that helps start a new chapter for the lives of two characters. This may not be a movie for everyone but most people will enjoy it.
Vivo The Sing Along Edition is available now on Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital.
