Zoey gets a surprise visit from her dad in ‘Daddy Lessons’
Last time on Grown-ish, Zoey was trying to get an internship which she needed to graduate from Cal U. She bumps into Rochelle and fears she has some choice words for Zoey. Things end up going much better than Zoey thought they would though. Zoey fears Rochelle might not know about what happened and feels compelled to tell her all about her and Aaron. Her friends assure her this is a bad idea, but she does it anyway. Once Zoey does this Rochelle ends up having a few choice words for her after all but she still helps Zoey get a great internship. As this episode came to a close Vivek got some awful news. Now Vivek’s parents are coming to have a talk with him in ‘Daddy Lessons’. I was able to watch a screener of this episode and here is what I thought of it.

After learning about his expulsion, Vivek dreads telling his parents about his failures. Dealing with the aftermath of Mexico, Dre questions Zoey’s recent choices. Meanwhile, Doug meets Kiela, a new resident at Hawkins.

Vivek is not looking forward to an upcoming chat with his parents in ‘Daddy Lessons’. His friends try to help him prepare for it, and when it looks like the moment has arrived Zoey gets a surprise visit from her dad. He found out about her getting married in Mexico and isn’t happy about it. While her dad takes some time to cool off Vivek asks him for a bit of advice. Once Zoey’s dad talks with her later things between them look to be alright after all. Vivek is ready to tell his parents everything once they arrive but things don’t go as well as he hoped they would. As this episode comes to a close Vivek could be doing better.
