Frank J. Salamone, MSW, retired from a thirty-year career as a licensed clinical social worker and psychoanalyst, both in New York City and Los Angeles. His work history includes a private therapy practice as a psychoanalyst and psychotherapist, two inpatient psychiatric hospitals
(psychiatric social worker), a low-income inner-city mental health clinic (child therapist), a hospice program (social worker), a community mental health clinic (child therapist), and a non-profit charity (social work supervisor). Frank received his Master of Social Work degree from
New York University (NYU). He graduated from a four-year psychoanalytic training program, resulting in a Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. His volunteer work has included
an AIDS charity kitchen (provided meals for homebound AIDS patients), an infusion program at a hospital cancer center, and a hospital NICU (baby cuddler). His writings have appeared in professional psychoanalytic journals, “free” local magazines, and other websites. He is a proud father and grandfather, and resides in California.
