The Good Men Project is launching a new section, Men & Business / Work, and is seeking contributors.
While general topics about Business / Work that may be of interest to Men (but also to Women), such as “how to get a job in a down economy,” are of interest and will be considered, an ideal submission will be about the intersection of Men and Business / Work. Topics might include:
- Sexual harassment
- Risk-taking
- Keeping a job you hate in order to provide for your family
- Pressure to succeed
- Defining masculinity through work and money
- The joy of working
- Men and unemployment
- Men and job-hunting
- Finding work when you have a prison record
We’re looking for first person accounts, discussions of trends, opinion pieces, anything interesting that advances the mission. Top ten lists or other lists are always welcome, and tend to get a lot of traffic. Authors will get PR support for their articles, and will also be expected to circulate their work through their own networks and social media. A great part of working with GMP is that you will get to publish your work, and you will learn how to promote it.
If you are interested in submitting a piece, or better yet, becoming a regular contributor, contact David Kaiser, the Business / Work Editor, at [email protected]
