They are the masters of the winds and rarely land upon this earth, preferring instead to ride the clouds on their scimitar like wings.
These birds quarter the ecology with incredible agility in search of their insect prey.
They create an avian nexus of astonishing complexity as they weave their hunters dance in the sky.
Lying back some fifty of them scream overhead flicking back and forth like a swordsman gallant.
This sky duel is one sided though and within minutes the air is emptied of the teeming hordes of insects that until just now were engaged in their own ecstatic dance.
Accompanying this dazzling ballet is the sound of the birds themselves. Not just the banshee shriek of this species, but the sound of wind on feather as they slice the cobalt sky with their spiky jazz like movement.
