A new poem by Alexander Humphries.
—
~ I’m staying up all night outside on my front porch to catch the dawn’s first flares of light and glimpses of warmth shining down upon the mountain and enveloping my skin, imbuing itself into the vapors of my exhalations –smoke and steam rising from tobaccoo stained remnants of Darjeeling overlain in my throat. I’ll be sipping the sweet sunshine out of the early cool air with my eyes floating among the clouds or a sea of open sky depending; this scene of brilliant colour will remain unseen until the moment it is thrust upon me in a radiant display, arresting my thoughts, and sending them reeling into a state of sublime quietude ~
