Username input on anything that’s on any social application just shows how unoriginal we really are, this is one of the most helpful low-key reminders that we are not alone.
Let’s start with the basics of it all, you type in your name when a notification pops up that someone already has it, by now it’s likely you’ve come to the conclusion that you’re not the only (LAST NAME HERE) , (FIRST NAME HERE) living in this world; the majority of you may have even skipped this part.
We descend into the option of adding symbols and numbers, the fact that you have to mix in the alphabet and numerical symbols just shows the lack of individualism there is around here. What more if you type the newly thought out name and it said someone already has it. These are all in the parameters and limitations of the applications of course.
But when it comes to the point where you’ve tried to be heritic_3.141592653589793238462, this is the point where you realize that you’ve sunk to “creating” something new, to come up with a new idea. “Somewhere out there, someone already thought of this” it just makes us consider how small we really are but that doesn’t belittle our purpose of living. We don’t know our capabilities until we’ve been tested and not by patiently waiting to get logged in due to “name has already been taken” What more if we channel it into making yourself grow?
Things are different on paper, or in this case, your head, if you think you can do it without even trying then you haven’t done it at all. This is certainly not a strength nor weakness, this depends on where you channel it. It’s not proving to anybody else but yourself that you are a being apt for these conditions. (Minor example: You’re capable of defeating this person, you defeat the person, that’s good. Your incapable of killing this person, you don’t kill the person, that’s also good) Let’s just end it like this, harming others is bad while littering is also considered bad but they will have different punishments.
The right and wrong of ethics do have an immense impact as well culture, class, religion etc. but were not going that far ahead. We must be able to view everything as an undivided spectrum, motivating our justifiable needs to further seek personal fulfillment and growth. It won’t hurt to bring society along for that ride, am I right?
Originality comes in different forms, boldness, cleverness, resourcefulness, and ingenuity which are hard to come by these days but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible to think of something different and innovative. We sold our old life philosophies to smarter phones, faster “everything”, unrealistic standards and gold chains that suit our moving lifestyle. This is not necessarily a guess or a read on what makes who you are, who you are, it’s an observation on how we are as a whole. If early on you get to figure out what your personal purpose for fulfillment is, then something will definitely change; to give yourself meaning in a world where you ultimately feel lonely rather than alone.
