How a Dirty Air Con Can Affect Any Type of Business

—

Whether it is a restaurant, café, shop, office, or any other type of business, the impact of a dirty air con is universally negative. Starting from higher cooling costs and ending with lost profit because of an uncomfortable and unhealthy environment.

If you need to clean your AC unit or system, consult a reliable provider to learn more about an air con service.

Higher cooling costs

For any business, the fundamental rule says: the higher the operating expenditures, the lower the profit margin.

If an air con gets clogged with dust, it has to work harder to achieve the same level of cooling. To be more specific, dirty filters can increase energy consumption by up to 15% even in mild weather. During hot summer months, this energy waste can be even higher.

Thus, if a business has to pay higher energy bills due to a dirty AC system, its profit margin shrinks. Simply put, this business loses money because of energy waste that inefficient AC operation causes. With a properly maintained cooling system, your business can avoid this unnecessary loss.

Lost profit

Another fundamental business rule is: the higher the revenue, the higher the bottom line.

When taking the revenue generation aspect into account, a dirty air con may damage your business even more significantly. The key factors here include employees and customers feeling uneasy in an uncomfortable environment, leading to:

Customers staying less with you – resulting in fewer orders or purchases
Employees becoming less productive – resulting in decline in sales or other applicable KPIs

Furthermore, while the effects of employee fatigue can be reversed relatively quickly by improving air and climate quality, its negative effect on your customers is long-term and often more severe. To clarify, once you lose your customer loyalty, you would need more effort to regain it.

So, do not neglect cleaning your cooling system regularly, so your business will not suffer from the damage factored by such an aspect as a dirty air con.
