Have you ever thought about who or what you would leave in your will? Potentially not considering more than half (65%) of people in the UK haven’t actually written a will! More often than not, assets and estates are left to family, partners or close friends, but we have found some survey data that reveals that 81% of people under 35 said they would consider leaving money to someone other than their, such as a charity or a political party.
The survey also uncovers some interesting statistics around death and relationships. According to the data, more men than women said that they would list an ex in their will and were also twice as likely to consider someone they once had a crush on! On the other hand, women were most likely to say they would completely cut their partner out of their will for cheating on them!
On the topic of revenge, the under 35s amongst us are in support of using a will to get revenge, with almost 1 in 6 saying they would consider using their will to settle an old score.
