100 Words on Love, by Josh Misner

It took hurting my child to believe in myself again.
One slight misstep, spilling hot ramen into his six year-old lap, and a bone-chilling scream pierced the air. I knew I was the worst father in the history of parenting. Ripping away his soaking jammies, I rushed him to cold, soothing water, and peering through my own tears, I wiped away his. Self-doubt took the place of self-confidence, but while I ran through all of the shoulda, coulda, wouldas, my beautiful son uttered through muffled cries, “You know it was an accident, right? You’re the best daddy in the world.”
