100 Words on Love, by James Fry

Peak hour gridlock. Doglegging it through the city streets, as if shaving a few minutes off my trip will deliver me enlightenment. Stoplight number eight and I’m glaring at the wet, dirty street corner, the surrounds almost as drained as I feel.
Then déjà vu hits.
This is the same corner that I almost walked out from and into oncoming traffic, in a dream-like state, having just come from your warm bed.
A wise man once said that the only thing that doesn’t change is change. The corner of Cleveland and Third is testament to that.
