Besides wanting to practice more loving-kindness, I want to serve others on a deeper level. This need to help others burns within me and the fire was lit when I was a child. Growing up, my family relied on the kindness of others for food, shelter, and clothing.
There are many ways to volunteer and serve others. Think about your unique skill sets and how they might be of value to non-profit organizations, a neighbor or other group. Serving others does not always look like working in a soup kitchen, but that is great too!
