“If you ever want to love someone, love yourself unconditionally first.” — Debasish Mridha
Becoming the best version of ourselves can often feel like an uphill battle. Where do you even start?
Lina
It was a girl called Lina who taught me the importance of becoming the person I love.
I met Lina in college and we became fast friends. She was everything I wished I could be. I have shared extensively how I had self esteem issues when I was younger and never felt good enough.
She encouraged me to start making small changes to help me reach my goals. She inspired me to lose the extra pounds, to take myself on dinner and spa dates, and basically be someone that was worthy of my own love.
Anyways, if anyone was going to make it in life, it was Lina. She was always so well rounded.
Fast forward to 2020, and Lina was now a successful businesswoman who had achieved a lot in her life, but she felt unfulfilled. She had just left a 7-year relationship that was going nowhere and her business was struggling after the pandemic.
I was glad to help her with her own medicine.
…
You see, I thought it was complex becoming a person worthy of my love until I ventured onto the journey of finding myself so I could love me for me.
I was wrong, it is not that hard.
The answer is simple: start by making small changes.
It’s much easier to make a few small changes than it is to completely overhaul your lifestyle.
Here are nine phenomenal ways to become the person you love.
1. Take Time For Yourself
“Keep taking time for yourself until you are you again.” — Lalah Delia

Self-care is essential for our mental health and well-being, enabling us to approach the things we have to do with joy, clarity and equanimity.
Taking even just fifteen minutes a day to be completely by yourself can add up over time and provide you with humility, resilience and strength.
With a little mindful effort each day, you can slowly build your own personal moment of peace — make sure your soul gets heard!
What you can do:
Whether it’s taking a hot bubble bath, going for a walk in nature, or meditating for 10 minutes, dedicating some time each day for yourself will help you stay centered and focused on your goals.
…
2. Spend Time With Friends And Family
“At the end of your life, you will never regret not having passed one more test, not winning one more verdict or not closing one more deal. You will regret time not spent with a husband, a friend, a child, or a parent.” — Barbara Bush

In these special moments, we can come together in understanding and appreciation, creating strong bonds of love and friendship that last beyond any one moment or day.
Being in the presence of loved ones can open up conversations, bring comfort in tough times, prompt joyous laughter and create a sense of safety and belonging.
So wherever you are right now, take a step back and find the time to spend with those closest to you; your future self will thank you for it!

Setting goals and working towards them can be incredibly gratifying.

What you can do:
