Daily Mo Update
The past two days have been a little….blah. Not feeling as if I’m being the kind of hubby and daddy that I should be. Why? No idea. Sometimes it just creeps up on you out of nowhere. That’s where it helps to have people checking in on you. Not specifically for your depression, but just to say “hey” every so often.
Movember Awareness
On average, it’s Men between the ages of 30 and 55 that tend to feel this the most often. The random onset of a depression that can last days or weeks. Have a friend or relative you haven’t talked to for a while? Give ’em a call for old times sake.

Daily Mo Update
Happy Veteran’s Day! Today my Mo is dedicated to all those who served and who are serving our country. Thank you for keeping us safe every day!
In honor of Veteran’s Day, I figured I’d draw attention to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). While PTSD isn’t exclusively a men’s health issue, it is commonly associated with serving in the military, which consists mostly of men in the US. The name pretty much nails it, but PTSD develops when someone is put through an extreme situation of stress, pain, emotional conflict, etc. PTSD has several different symptoms ranging from feeling disconnected and numb to feeling tense and fearful (like they’re reliving the traumatic event). Most people with PTSD need psychotherapy to help resolve their issues, but anti-depressants are also sometimes used to treat it. There is significantly more information on PTSD out there on the web, like www.nimh.nih.gov/health/

Daily Mo Update
Today, we celebrate Veteran’s day to honor all those who have served. While I myself have not, many of my close friends have, and several of my elder family members have. My great grandfather served in WWI, WWII, and Vietnam. He was a great man who lived a very long life. His wife, my great grandmother, was a baby on the dock the day the Titanic set sail.
Movember Awareness
The trauma of our pasts can be a heavy factor in determining how we deal with situations in our lives. Negative situations that we do not resolve can create unnecessary fear and anxiety in situations that we otherwise could be strong through. If you know someone who has suffered some sort of trauma, try to be understanding and provide them with extra help and patience to help them through their problems. We are all fighting our own battles.

Daily Mo Update
I had today off for Veteran’s Day. It was a nice day with the family. My wife and I are both veterans. Someone paid for our coffee, which was nice.
It’s important to have down time to recharge. I know I’m feeling better equipped to face tomorrow.
Tojours Pret, mo bros.
