I’m a mom of one son, Fox Henry, 2 and wife to husband of five years, Tyler, who is a photographer, videographer, web and graphic designer and owner of Tynology.com. I attended Buffalo State College before landing a job as a magazine editor on the West Coast. In February 2015 I began a lifestyle blog, The February Fox. I love to write and share my parenting experiences and journey with other parents. I focus on travel, family, beauty, style, food, and whatever else interests me at any given moment. I’m also a big fan of traveling, especially with my son and husband. I enjoy checking out new restaurants, throwing myself into DIY projects, and networking to meet new and interesting people.

What I do well as a mom.
I do a good job of finding creative new ventures for my son to take charge of and expand his mind. I also connect with him enough to understand what he needs even though his speech is limited as this age.
What have I learned from another mom?
Don’t be afraid to travel with a young child. My son has navigated several road trips throughout the US, took in the views at Niagara Falls in Canada, explored the glaciers and waterfalls of Iceland, and experienced a handful of firsts throughout England, Scotland, and Wales. It’s important to me to introduce him to other cultures and let him know that there’s so much more to life than our “little” city.
Lesson I have learned from my child.
Spontaneity. Before Fox Henry was born I made lists for everything and planned every last moment on my day. After his birth I learned how unpredictable life is as a parent. I realized that my most cherished moments were the result of an unexpected detour. Now I relish in spontaneity.
Successful motherhood moment.
My kiddo is very independent and takes charge of situations when given the opportunity. He was 18-months-old during his first Trick or Treat experience. His dad and I were pleasantly surprised that he would refuse more than one piece of candy and said “thank you” to each person handing treats out before leaving.

Mom I admire.
Jessica Alba. I admire how she transformed her love for her children into an actual empire centered on making smart choices for kids. She’s setting a wonderful example for her daughters of what a female business owner is capable of accomplishing. I admire that no matter what her children come first — even above her business — and she’s not afraid to admit that. She’s also health conscious and instills her good habits in her children.
