It’s supposed to be “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year”. But is it?
Love it or hate it, December and January are The Holiday Season.
We want to hear from gay, bisexual, asexual, pansexual, polyamorous, queer, not-straight, trans, and/or gender-nonconforming men* about their feelings about the holidays.
Are you all in with your raised-by or chosen family, or does the idea of family make you want to run and hide?
What do you do about office or organization parties? We’re particularly interested in hearing from poly men.
What stereotypes do you find yourself fighting?
Do you have to be “in” in some situations and “out” in others?
Are the holidays no different for you that the straight people around you?
…or any other topic about the holidays that you’d like to share.
Send your pitches, ideas, or completed pieces (under 1,500 words, please; previously published acceptable if you have reprint rights) to [email protected]. Video stories welcome; please send link.
We can’t guarantee we’ll publish your work, but we want to see what you have to say.
*I know this list is not all inclusive. I won’t pretend to know every word for every identity, so if you don’t see your identity on it, I still invite you to submit.
