From Standing Rock to Parkland, young leaders are claiming their voices and leading powerful movements. Just this year, young people organized the March for Our Lives protest–one of the largest youth-led protests to date–and grew the youth voting bloc by 3.9 million more voters than in 2014.
Today Brave New Films is launching a new series – Following Their Lead: Youth in Action – to spotlight young leaders across the country who are creating positive change on critical social and political issues.

The first video in the series features Youth Rise Texas, an Austin-based organization comprised of youth leaders impacted by incarceration and deportation.
Historically, Black, Latinx and young voters have had the smallest turnout rates in U.S. elections. So, leading up to the 2018 midterm elections, Youth Rise Texas organized a voter mobilization event for young people and minorities in east Austin.
Young people are experts on their lives and the issues that impact them. Their voices should be heard. Please watch and share!
