Coming out of the COVID-19 is inevitable even if we don’t know when that might happen. For many of us, we have already been isolated from everyone and everything that was our way of life pre-COVID 19 for over half of 2020.

It begs the question, what have we done with this opportunity block out the constant distractions and noise that we had become so accustomed to up until early 2020?
For many people, it has given them the chance to learn how to bake sour doubt bread or paint on canvases. For others, they have been creating a learning environment for their children to be schooled at home, while some may have taken up a new hobby or read countless books.
No matter what each of us decided what to do with the ample time that we have had at our disposal over these many months, one thing is common to all of us.
We have all had the opportunity to learn some valuable life lessons that will last way beyond the pandemic.
Here are 7 lessons that I have learned during this time of having more access to my practice of reflecting on events and experiences.
- Growth is possible in Isolation.
Many of us are wired as extroverts which means that recharging and rejuvenating require lots of stimulation and interaction. My experience with being on my own more than being with other people has led me to learn more about myself and how I show up to serve and support other people.
- Support comes from some Unlikely Places.
Before the experiences and challenges I have had with the pandemic, I would have emphatically stated that those in my life the longest would be the most supportive. That paradigm has been shattered and replaced with a new mindset about those who have been in my life for a relatively short time.
- Relationships unexpectedly Show Up.
Social media has its dualities and many people can argue from either side of the debate. In my experience, I have some to increase my network of friends and colleagues all the while being in the virtual world of video conferences.
- Mindset supports a 51% Positivity Zone.
When my husband was battling end-stage liver disease, we came up with a family mantra that focused on staying in the 51% Positivity Zone. It has supported us through some major challenges beyond the coronavirus.
- Strength thrives on Empowerment.
Finding out how strong we are is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves. When we go through things that we thought impossible and come out on the other side, we are more inclined to see how empowered we really are with our life choices.
- Perseverance is the Antidote to Failure.
For many of us, the failures of not being able to run our businesses successfully during the pandemic have been debilitating. Only through these set bask have I learned the value of trial and error and the iterative process as an entrepreneur.
- Resilience is a cause for Celebration!!!
When the pandemic hit hard earlier this year, I was already experiencing some significant symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD. As a result of creating new habits of writing and public speaking, I am now feeling much less of the hardships of the symptoms.
The focus that we give to the time we have during the pandemic will determine who we come out of it, when, and if we do indeed come out of it. I have chosen to stay in my habit of reflecting on the events and experiences that who up every day for me.
How will identify your lessons learned when this all over and we have moved into a new state of being-I am not calling it the new norm until it has earned that name.
However, TGMP you choose to spend your time, remember your decision has an impact on how you Come Out of this lengthy experience.
