Hey kids, welcome to another edition of Cooking with Dad! Since it’s barbecue season and I showed you how to make potato salad in the previous video, I want to share another excellent side to go with your barbecue. In this video, I’m going to show you how to make Dad’s pork and beans. But first, I have a dad joke for you: Why shouldn’t you tell a secret in a vegetable garden? Because the beans talk! Beanstalk, haha! So anyway, let’s get started.

Okay, so I hope that was helpful for you. The pork and beans, just make it your own. You can add a little bit of spice to it too if you like, you know, adding the bacon, adding the onions—excellent. And then you don’t have to add that sugar, especially if you’re adding barbecue sauce; you can just be good with that. And yeah, just make it your own and play around with different things, add different spices to it ’cause there’s spicy barbecue sauce you could add if you like your pork and beans spicy. But be careful with them getting a little bit runny, so we actually drained that can first because if you start adding too much soup to it, then they’ll run all over your plate, right? So a lot of times it’s good to have maybe a separate container for your pork and beans. But we love them! So anyway, I hope that was helpful for you. Thanks for watching and God bless you.
