Every day presents a range of choices before us, and we need to make the best decision. These choices may seem trivial and are almost automatic, such as opening our eyes, getting up, brushing our teeth, having breakfast — decisions that are almost routine. But what happens when choices involve significant sacrifices? You know those moments when your heart wishes it could be in two places at once?
When you realize that the decision you make could bring significant changes to your life forever? These choices come filled with anxiety, fear, guilt, and doubts. What could be the beginning of a honeymoon with yourself can turn into a nightmare, and suddenly you find yourself lost in a dark forest, unable to take a step forward or backward.
The fact that every choice requires a sacrifice is undeniable, so how can you make a decision convinced of your truth and that you are living your best life?
First, often, even if your heart wants something very much, you end up making many of the decisions you need based on others’ opinions, on the reactions of happiness and sadness from others. Therefore, the first step is to strip away your ego and analyze what you truly want. There is an inner voice that speaks to you all the time, and this voice does not use words; it is your intuition, and it will guide you to the best path.
As long as you keep agonizing, asking everyone what they think you should do, and thus hearing all sorts of opinions, you will become more confused, anxious, and sad. So, if today you need to make an important decision, choose a calm place, listen to your heart beat, and let the feelings come as you think about making decisions.
Seek to know yourself better, understand what you truly like, what makes your heart race with excitement, what you cannot stand to hear about. Self-knowledge is a great revealer of destiny; it facilitates your access to the path of your dreams, and thus you can list the points to choose the best option.
Once you have made the choice, do not look back. Do not live with “if,” “should have,” “could have.” Everything that was not, is not. So, if you have made your choice and are now on this new path, take the opportunity to gather all the flowers that the path gives you. Do not create scenarios that do not exist, nor hypotheses about how you would be if you had done it differently. The past is in the past, and that is where it should stay.
Each time life presents you with two paths, accept this challenge with love. This is a sign of abundance in your life, the infinite possibilities that anything can happen.
So embrace this process with love and understand that whatever decision you make, it was already marked on the course of your destiny so that you arrive exactly where you need to be. Every step, every person, every minute is well synchronized with God’s stopwatch, so nothing can go wrong, because even the wrong becomes right when we are willing to live our best version!
Make your choice!
