Peace, Comrades,
Many of us have seen the inhumane conditions Haitian and other Black migrants, refugees, and their families have been forced to endure in Del Rio, Texas. Despite the world bearing witness, the cruel practices of the Biden Administration have not ended there.
Six more expulsion flights went out this morning, bringing the total to 43 flights in just five days. In just ten days, the Biden Administration rushed to deport approximately 4,600 Haitian migrants under the Title 42 Trump-era policy. Many of them fled Haiti years ago for South America, including hundreds of children who have never set foot on Haitian soil. The Biden Administration’s decision to force vulnerable Haitians to return to a place impacted by overlapping crises, political turmoil, and the COVID-19 pandemic—hardships exacerbated by French and American imperialist policies toward Haiti—is exceptionally inhumane and represents the president’s failure to depart from the archaic policies of his predecessor. Organizations are moving to provide families with language interpreters, legal representation, and financial support, but they cannot continue this work without our assistance.

They are on the ground working to protect Haitian migrants’ rights in Del Rio, as well as holding the Department of Homeland Security and the Biden Administration accountable for their human-rights abuses.
