I don’t know any carriers that think the way this guy imagines that they do. It is also amusing that he thinks his gun enthusiast background gives him credibility. It doesn’t, only the strength of his argument does, and his argument is a discussion of feelings, many of them speculative.

Yes. Yes I do. The bad guys already got them. The permit carriers, of which I’m one. In general aren’t trained sufficiently. But I have no fear of them at all. So yes. All in all. Give them at least a chance. If they pass generally rigorous background checks I am all in.
I say yes. An armed society is a polite one. Also, the less government the better in regards to us enthusiasts that respect and live by the law.
A criminal or terrorist will not worry whether their firearms are within compliance of its states laws and regultions.

If charged with having/using a firearm unlawfully….
No reduced bail, Subject to an automatic dangerousness hearing, No plea bargains, No reduced sentences, No early release from prison, and minimum state sentencing laws for assaults and/or robberies committed with a firearm.
No need for step two.
If you believe jails are over crowded and think most criminals should receive community service, go for it. But, when a criminal gets to the point of carrying a gun, a different and more serious ball game and mandated rules needed.
