Let’s jump right in.
1. Give life energy to spaces.
Most people can’t help but be in a bad mood, at least some of the time. Even if they’re good, the slightest inconvenience can sink their emotional ships.
They can’t offer a light greeting.
I’ve come to realize this rare habit of enchanting people isn’t a people-pleasing trait. Nor is it toxic positivity on steroids. It’s simply not being another roadbump in a stressful world.
The world is heavy.
It’s hard to maintain a good mood. Everything aims to steal joy, such as inflation, layoff news, wars, junk food guilt, and anxiety. But along comes someone aware yet kind enough to smile and keep things moving.
Their good mood is infectious. You can’t help but feel silly for your grouchiness, which is quick to end in their presence.
2. Pattern interrupt like it is breathing.
There’s a big misconception about enchanting people. Life always seems to work out for them.
It’s by their design.
Some think the day’s ruined because they missed a huge commission sale.
Fascinating people, instead, choose to pattern interrupt. I’ve watched them engage in coffee or brunch with their circle to cope with the loss. They leave the interaction with a new story. This rock bottom moment will help them be greater. Then, they go after recovering like it is an opportunity.
Be a little delusional about the worst somehow working out for your future good. If you stop allowing setbacks to decrease your drive, you make it less appealing for others to get in your way. Strangers would rather help so they can be a part of your success.
3. Lack desire, you just do things.
This seems wrong in a world of consumerism and social media highlights.
It’s common for the average person to have wish lists, bucket lists, and goals for when the time is right. They wait. They tell anyone who will listen how they will do x in y time. When accountability gets asked of them, they serve up a tall stack of excuses.
What if you didn’t plan? You took action, tracked outcomes, and kept going.
It is your willingness to just go for it that makes people find you interesting. They can’t wrap their head around it.
Most people seek permission. A sign. They need someone to create a path they can follow. If there isn’t one, they’re stuck.
But you, the mover, seem powerful, limitless, and not a victim of your flaws. It’s different. The mystery behind it has people crazy infatuated with you and stories about your life.
4. Be the confident novice that takes the spot.
Many fear beginning at the bottom.
They wait til they read books, complete courses, and go down Reddit research rabbit holes. Even then, they can’t start without a plan, a mentor’s blessing, and the full moon. They continue to beat and mourn the obvious door of entry, although it’s deactivated.
An alluring individual chooses to be the guinea pig. They’ll be the weird test dummy. The one who isn’t afraid to be weird or say aloud what everyone thinks.
The company that once rejected Sahil Bloom’s job application. Now, hired him as their network speaker. Avoid giving your chance away because you paused to wonder if you’re worthy.
People admire you more when you’re excited to learn by trial and error. Moreso, if you convert your confidence to competence. Your passion to go for it while scared is a shocking breath of fresh air.
