Love is not about making someone feel special one moment and hurting them the next. Real love isn’t just being with someone physically while remaining emotionally distant. True love is when souls connect, when you feel the other person deep within your being. In real love, two bodies may exist, but their souls become one. And when one feels pain, the other feels it too. That is the essence of true love.
Love isn’t real if only one person is hurting while the other remains unaffected. Sometimes, you wish for someone whose soul and body are so deeply connected with yours that any pain you feel, they feel too. Love is about understanding, acceptance, care, support, and embracing each other’s flaws, things that may seem small, but they are everything.
It’s painful when you’re with someone who makes you feel alone. You argue with them, not out of anger, but because they no longer give you love, time, or care. You give your all while they remain indifferent. They go on happily with their life while you cry alone, battling panic attacks and emotional breakdowns just thinking about them, knowing they don’t care. That’s not love.
Yes, at first, everyone shows affection, but time often reveals the truth. And the truth is painful, especially when you’re emotionally and mentally attached and can’t walk away, even though you know you should.
Love isn’t something that should make you feel special only “sometimes” and worthless the rest of the time. True love brings joy, not suffering. The pain of broken love feels like a bird being shot mid-flight, crashing to the ground with shattered wings.
If you ever find someone who loves you truly, value them. Even if they love you a little, give them more love in return. Asking for someone in your prayers, waiting for them your entire life, that’s love. But remember: if someone can’t recognize your worth, you’re with them; they never will later. Don’t destroy your life hoping for that realization.
Never waste your feelings on someone who only treats you like a priority when it’s convenient. Someone who talks to you when they feel like it, and disappears when they don’t. Such people only make you mentally exhausted. You’ll never be able to figure them out. They don’t love you; they enjoy the control, the attention. They enjoy seeing you broken, knowing someone loves them like crazy. They mistreat you and know you won’t leave. They don’t love you, they pity you, and that’s it.
From the bottom of my heart, I want to say this: if you love someone sincerely and they can’t return that love, it’s better to walk away. Mental peace comes first. If you’re not at peace, then what’s the point of love?
So if there’s someone like this in your life, stay away. Don’t waste your emotions. Feelings are precious. Protect them. It may hurt now, but eventually, that pain will fade. One day you’ll look back and feel proud for choosing yourself. You’ll no longer hate yourself for loving the wrong person.
So love, but where your love is valued. Don’t invest your heart where it will only be broken. Because your feelings are not just emotions; they’re treasures.
The love I gave was never returned.
So I lit my fire with the pain I burned.”
