Essay 8 of 18
Yeah, I had my smart-speaker on, and your voice notes/casts with your curated background music were piping through my place. I thought, “Wow! I love this device you’ve created for yourself; it is actually pretty cool, and maybe I need to take my note-taking game up to another level.”

I don’t want to run the risk of sounding like a truism, but it did get better at the end. Among the 16 voice notes/casts, there are a couple where you are so clear! For example, when I was listening to voice note/cast number 11, I wanted to know,
“Am I listening to this as a friend? Or should I be taking some notes!?”
That voice note right there!! It got to a whole level that I didn’t even know if I had the development to comprehend in one pass, and I can be very meta. There were some pieces of that man that were like, “Wow!”
…
I’m just giving you highlights of what really resonated or what really struck me; that’s the feedback I’m giving you right now.
The meta thing was so powerful. Actually, the last four or five were really profound. Some earlier voice notes/casts were pretty deep too. But when I went to go back to start listening again, I was on “11.” So I went from 11 to 16 and just rode it out, and in those 35 minutes, I came to realize that your most profound messages came in the back end.
…
Okay, this is just me being interpretive, and I could be entirely off. But the threshold you got to yourself towards the end was so powerful; for me, I felt like you started slipping a bit away from Tema and started making peace with those three meta women from your past [i.e., 1981, 2002, and 2004].
In listening to your casts, it felt like Tema, as the newest/last one [2021], had given you the occasion to actually see this changeling of a [meta] woman who has the similar consistencies of patterns you mentioned:
• Highly Attractive & Sought After (romantically & professionally)
• Super Popular/Highly Extroverted
• Made the first move (reached out to you first)
• Communications/Marketing/Sales/Media Educated & Trained Professional
• Couldn’t/Wouldn’t Express Share Emotions (vulnerabilities)
In hearing you, speak to these consistencies, it is almost like you caught her by the end of her dress, looked her dead in the eye, and said,
‘I see you for what you are, and I free myself from you, and I’m going to forgive you.’
Dude!! All of that was just like, Netflix worthy for me. I could see a whole series weave together out of those last five-voice notes/casts. It was powerful, super powerful!
…
When you were talking about “Mr. and Ms. Forever” in number 11, there’s so much being said in that; it was actually like listening to a whole dissertation in 10mins. What you tapped into was so dimensional, and philosophical that a person has to be at a certain level of developmental sophistication to get there and to comprehend the insights.
It became clear to me that part of the challenge you were having in your relationship is that you may have started bumping up against the places where Tema, contrary to her picture of herself, is not as developed.
Number 11 was the pivot. It was like something shifted from the first ten voice notes/casts. This was so fascinating because I wish I had a $100 bill for every time we were previously talking, and you told me to start at “11,” all my Christmas shopping would be done.
I think even within yourself, you knew “11” was where your level of clarity and insight started to get to something of real consequence to you and your soul.
…
I think there’s something about number 14 as well. There are several places in that voice note, and most of the later ones, that balance accountability, and compassion. But, again, because these voice notes/casts were so clear, it didn’t feel like you were just uncovering a raw nerve.
Your message came through so clear; who you were as a communicator came through so clear. I love number 16, the forgiveness piece. I love number 15, where you reference your favorite passage from Paulo Coelho’s book, where your heart is trying to teach you lessons you refuse to learn. You felt that you’ve finally learned your lesson regarding how to engage meta-women (run).
Yeah. Those latter voice notes/casts were really quite good.
