As climate change continues to accelerate, with its effects being felt in every country around the world, the ability to gaslight the people of nations by powerful corporations and oppressive governments, diminishes. What are the steps citizens, businesses, cities, and states can take to coordinate, collaborate, and cooperate in ways to slow both the continued advance of climate change, and to mitigate the continuing damage happening all over the Earth.
• Where do we prioritize our efforts?
• We’ve come to the conclusion that technology won’t be enough to stop the inexorable and devastating effects of storms, fires, floods and famine, affecting communities worldwide. How do we mobilize people as part of a significant effort against climate change?
• How do we deal with people, humanely, particularly those forced from their homes through climate-based migration?
• Is there a national or international agenda specifically focused on a relatable series of steps to mitigate climate change?
• Has the Coronavirus forced nations to consider how we work, where we work, the quality of our workspace, and the health of our workers in new and different ways?
We talk about these topics and many others tonight on Climate Change by the Elements with Thaddeus Howze and Carol Bluestein.
