This post is the opinion of the the author and does not necessarily represent The Good Men Project.
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, the former CEO of ExxonMobil, got off to a lackluster start and often seemed to be riding in the backseat of the foreign policy bus. But he may be emerging as his own man. He has butted heads with the Prez on issues such as North Korea and Charlottesville. In fact, CNN has called Charlottesville the defining moment of Tillerson’s tenure. When Fox News’ Chris Wallace asked Tillerson to defend the President’s comments after the protests that claimed one life, Tillerson countered by saying that the President spoke for himself, effectively hanging his boss out to dry. If this was Tillerson’s attempt at distancing himself from Trump, it’s been well received on Social. Opinions about Tillerson split 50/50, while the President trails at 32 percent positive. –Hugo Guzman
