It’s easy to see why lots of people feel depressed these days. A decent percentage of men don’t enjoy working in an office environment. They check their watch dozens of times per day because they’re desperate to hit the gym when they clock off.
If you feel the same way you should think about changing careers. There are a ton of physically demanding jobs you’ll love. Maybe you won’t become a millionaire, but at least you will be happy. Let’s discuss some of the options available to you.
1. Farmer
Speak to anyone who has arm wrestled a farmer and they’ll tell you how strong they are. You will build up a tremendous amount of strength carrying heavy objects around all day. Why do you think it’s called the Farmer’s Walk?
Take one of the agriculture courses on offer and you’ll have huge traps soon. You will be working with powerful animals in hard conditions all day long. Most farmers still find it extremely satisfying.
2. Firefighter
It takes a special kind of person to become a firefighter. Not only do you need to have physical strength, but you need to be mentally tough too. You literally run into burning buildings on a daily basis.
It’s one of the only jobs in the world where you get to save lives regularly, which makes you feel great. Sometimes you’ll need to carry people out of buildings one by one, which is impossible without supreme strength.
3. Roofer
If you live in a warmer state it’s hard to beat working on roofs all day. You’ll spend so much time in the sun it will feel like you’re at the beach. Some of the views you’ll get to experience are spectacular too.
The hardest part about being a roofer is carrying everything up to the roof. Once you’re up there it’s less taxing on your body, but it’s still hard work. I guarantee you’ll never have to go on another diet again.
4. Bodyguard
Bodyguards love the thrill of their job more than anything else. You’ll have to defend high-profile targets from danger around the clock. Only the strongest will survive and it helps to look intimidating.
One of the most exciting parts is the places you’ll get to visit. Bodyguards travel all around the world and stay in luxury accommodation. Also, if you ever want to get out you’ll have lots of influential contacts.
5. Stuntman
Do you remember the adrenaline rush you felt when you went bungee jumping? Imagine feeling the same excitement multiple times per day. Actors get paid more than stuntmen, but they definitely don’t have more fun.
You’ll have to fall from high heights, play around on wires, drive cars really fast, and so much more. Nobody will learn skills on the job, so if you want to become a stuntman you’ll need to start practicing now.
6. Lumberjack
You can probably picture what the average lumberjack looks like in your head. They will be tough enough to hold a chainsaw steady while it’s cutting through massive trees. There is a lot of skill involved too.
If you cut trees randomly they’ll land on you when they fall down. You’ll have even more heavy work to do once they’re lying on the ground. Thankfully, the money you’ll be paid is a lot more than you’d expect.
The Time Has Come to Switch Careers
I hope a few of these have made you think about the future. If you want a physically demanding job there is no reason why you can’t choose one we’ve talked about today. I’m sure your imagination will be in overdrive right now.
